Privacy policy

The correct handling of your data while respecting your personal rights and observing your right to informational self-determination when using your personal data is an important concern for us. The collection, processing and use of your personal data is governed by the relevant legal provisions, in particular European data protection directives and their implementation in national laws. LeanMIS GmbH reserves the right to adapt the data protection declaration to changes in legal provisions and regulations at any time. Please keep yourself informed of changes to the data protection declaration by accessing it via the corresponding link on our website www.leanmis.at.

(1) Use of the LeanMIS GmbH web portal without providing personal data

You can use our portal without providing any personal data. In the uses described below, your usage data will not be associated with your person at any time.

(1.1) Cookies

Our portal uses cookies. These are small files that the web server transfers to a designated area on your PC. The cookies stored on your PC can also be read by the web server.

Cookies are differentiated according to how long they are stored:

So-called session cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. A session cookie can be used to determine which pages and products are of particular interest with the help of a web analysis tool.
Permanent cookies, on the other hand, remain stored on your PC beyond the time you use our portal; you can determine the storage period in your browser. A permanent cookie can be read again the next time you visit our website. To prevent this, you can delete the permanent cookie after visiting our website. Permanent cookies can be used, for example, to save your language selection for the LeanMIS site.

On the other hand, cookies are differentiated according to their origin:

So-called first-party cookies always originate from the website specified in the address bar of your browser.
So-called third-party cookies come from websites that you have not accessed directly, but which have been integrated via images or advertisements on the website of a first-party provider.

Your browser can tell you which website has stored cookies on your PC. Most browsers are set to accept cookies from first-party providers.

You have several options for controlling the storage of cookies on your PC:

You can directly use the corresponding setting options of your browser. However, if your browser does not allow cookies, you may not be able to use all the pages of our portal without problems. For example, in order to download our software to your PC, it is essential that you set your browser to allow cookies.
For most browsers, additional software is available that can take over the task of a cookie manager. With the help of such an add-on, you can delete cookies, block websites from setting cookies and much more. We cannot and do not want to make an explicit recommendation for a cookie manager because the choice of a suitable add-on depends on your operating system and your browser.

(1.2) Analysis of the use of our web portal

Google Universal Analytics

How does Google Universal Analytics collect data about user behavior?

This website uses Google Universal Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc ("Google"). Google Universal Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. A combination of random numbers is stored in this permanent cookie (see the Cookies section of this statement), which enables the analysis tool to recognize a browser that repeatedly visits our website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

If this cookie does not exist, e.g. because you have deleted it between sessions, Google Universal Analytics will use other methods to recognize the browser in order to continue to be able to assign user behavior to a specific pseudonym. These methods are also used on other end devices such as tablets, smart phones, etc. in order to be able to analyze the user behavior of a user of several end devices in a summarized manner.

Purpose of Google Universal Analytics

On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

Opt-out options

If you use a browser on a PC, Mac or other end device to which you can add a plug-in, you can prevent the collection of data generated by Google Universal Analytics and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de. This plug-in prevents Google web analysis on all websites that you visit.

Google's own information on data protection and data security for Universal Analytics can be found on the following page:

https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de

(1.3) Links to social networks

Our portal links to various social networks. The link is technically implemented in such a way that your browser only connects to the web server of the social network when you click on the corresponding button. Until then, no usage data is transmitted to the social network. The data protection responsibility for the processing of your data in the social network lies with its operator.

 (1.4) YouTube

Our website uses the provider YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA, represented by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, for the integration of videos. Normally, when you access a page with embedded videos, your IP address is sent to YouTube and cookies are installed on your computer. However, we have integrated our YouTube videos with the extended data protection mode (in this case, YouTube still contacts Google's Double Click service, but according to Google's privacy policy, personal data is not evaluated). This means that YouTube no longer stores any information about visitors unless they watch the video. If you click on the video, your IP address is transmitted to YouTube and YouTube learns that you have watched the video. If you are logged in to YouTube, this information will also be assigned to your user account (you can prevent this by logging out of YouTube before watching the video).

We have no knowledge of and no influence on the possible collection and use of your data by YouTube. Further information can be found in YouTube's privacy policy at www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/. We also refer you to our general description in this privacy policy for the general handling and deactivation of cookies.
